Here are some of my fave looks of the week…
Let’s raise our daughters to be strong, confident and empowered women, who believe they are worth the very best in life and nothing less, who understand who they are as daughters of God and who see themselves as beautiful queens with limitless value and blessed with many talents.
Let’s also teach our sons to be strong, confident and empowered men who believe they are worth the very best in life and nothing less, who understand who they are as sons of God and who see themselves as handsome kings with limitless value and blessed with many talents.
Happy Thursday! ❤️️xo
Women are blessed & highly favoured, strong, powerful, creative, fun, loving, beautiful, smart and sexy. All of these ties binds us together as women.
Today, we celebrate women all over the world…daughters, mothers, sisters and wives! We celebrate your beauty, strength, intelligence, achievements and goals!

Let’s continue to laugh & cry together, love, encourage & help each other, empower and uplift one another as sisters.
Happy Sunday! Be blessed! ❤️️xo
You fix your makeup just so
Guess you don’t know that you’re beautiful
Try on every dress that you own
You were fine in my eyes a half hour ago
If your mirror won’t
Make it any clearer I’ll
Be the one to let you know
Out of all of the girls
You’re my one and only girl
Ain’t nobody in the world tonight
All of the stars
You make them shine like they were ours
Ain’t nobody in he world
But you…and I
Such profound words from John Legend’s latest single You & I (Nobody In The World) from his album ‘Love In The Future’.
When I first heard this song, I immediately fell in love with the powerful lyrics but it was the music video that really did it for me (icing on the cake for sure!). I couldn’t help but get teary while watching everyday women of all colours, shapes and sizes looking themselves in the mirror and reflecting on their body image and how they view themselves daily. It was such a powerful yet touching look of today’s reality and better yet, a positive message for all daughters, sisters, mothers and wives out there. It was more than what I envisioned.
Play this song for yourself today. Make the lyrics about you. You don’t need makeup to validate your beauty…You don’t need a mirror to determine your allure…Know that you are beautiful!
Press play (if you haven’t already)!
Now that Spring is here, it’s time to start purging the thick, heavy sweaters in your closet for the lightweight tops and flowy dresses.
Every 6 months, I look forward to doing my closet swap. I get to fall in love all over again with items that I haven’t worn in a while and discover pieces that I forgot I even had.
There’s a great feeling in doing this. Personally, it makes me feel renewed, refreshed and blessed to have clothes on my back. It’s also a great opportunity to give back by donating clothing wherever you can. That is something that is very dear to my heart.
Closet organization is also something I enjoy doing so much that I’ve blogged about it three times already here, here and here. Well, I wanted to share more closet ideas that may inspire you. Organization is key!
It really saddens me to hear that the Montreal-based company, Jacob Inc, has filed for bankruptcy and will be closing all stores across Canada after 35 years. In the next few weeks, they will be liquidating inventory at the remaining 92 stores.
This news hits home on a very personal level. Jacob is where it started for me and my career. Words cannot even express what this women’s clothing retailer instilled in me. The values, the techniques, the business…I can say that I am rich in experience and knowledge after 7 dedicated years. I will never forget the wonderful memories created with such a loving team and family. I would not be the person I am today without Jacob Inc. and it will be a part of my life always. I’m forever grateful!
Here are some looks from their lookbook.
President and founder, Joey Basmaji, in a statement:
“Although we did not achieve the desired result, I am proud of the passion and dedication that the Jacob team showcased over these past few years while trying to bring the company back to financial health,”
“I would like to sincerely thank each employee and business partner that contributed to our success during these 35 wonderful years. I hope that the remaining Canadian retailers will get through these difficult economic times.”
What are your thoughts?
Today, let’s celebrate all women.
We hold many titles…
We are mothers, sisters, daughters and wives.
We are entrepreneurs, artists, professionals and athletes.
We come in all colors, shapes and sizes.
We are emotional but strong, vulnerable but smart.
We are passionate, kind and courageous.
We have hope, beauty and power.
We give life, we nurture and fight for you.
We are WOMEN!

3⃣Learn more about Black History Month.
Viola Desmond – A black business woman who faced segregation in the 1940s when she entered a theatre and took a seat on the main floor (reserved for white viewers only) and refused to go to the balcony unaware that tickets sold to African Canadians were for balcony only.

If you have never heard of Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, then you better start getting to know more about these 2 fashion designers. Together, they established Cushnie et Ochs in 2008 and have since created an embodiment of work that is representative of what every woman is looking to have in their wardrobe. Their work is bold and sensual with a touch of raw feminine attitude. It expresses confidence. They understand the female body and celebrate it. The body-contouring silhouettes, the bold lines and colors are complemented in their collections which makes it a flawless execution every time.

Beanies (a.k.a tuques) are a must this Fall. Especially with the cold weather creeping in, it’s a great way to stay fashionable and warm at the same time. There are so many colors to choose from, you are sure to find one for every outfit. 😉
