The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards took place last night in Los Angeles to honour outstanding film and television performances. Were you watching?! The 21st annual gala brought out some of Hollywood’s hottest stars and of course many slayed the red carpet as only they knew how. Here are some of my favourite looks of the night.

Who do you think rocked it best?
If you are a Shonda Rhimes fan, you will be happy to know that she has created yet another show (as if Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy wasn’t enough) called “How to Get Away With Murder” starring Viola Davis.
This new drama, which will premiere on ABC this Fall, is about a brilliant and mysterious criminal defence professor (played by Viola Davis) and her ambitious law students who become entangled in a murder plot that could change the course of their lives.
This suspense-driven legal thriller is based in Philadelphia and could possibly be the next best thing after Scandal. What do you think?

Since it’s premiere earlier this month, I have been watching and loving Oprah Winfrey Network’s newest docu-series, “Love In The City”, starring Kiyah Wright (celebrity hair stylist and the link who brought the four friends together), Bershan Shaw (founder of social networking site URAWARRIOR), Chenoa Maxwell (actress and aspiring photographer) and Tiffany Jones (founder of Pink Chose Me Foundation).
The show follows the four women as they juggle their professional and personal lives in the fast paced flow of New York City (particularly NYC’s legendary Harlem neighbourhood). The quartet have known each other for more than ten years and are constant sources of inspiration, support, competition and companionship to one another through life’s successes and setbacks.
Tiffany and Bershan are both breast cancer survivors dedicating their lives in sharing their stories of survival to spread awareness and provide hope to other women.
Brownie points to OWN for bringing us a new series that displays more sisterly love than hyped-up drama.
