Runway: Elie Saab Spring 2015 Couture!

IMG_4424
Elie Saab presented his Haute Couture show earlier this week and the collection was adorned with sequins, crystals, sheer tulle, feathers and ostrich plumes. The Lebanese designer dedicating the collection to his past in Beirut which he called the “golden age”. I’m loving the influence of Beirut in his new lineup as it introduces a certain freshness to his looks and provides the perfect template for new embroideries. See for yourself…Here are some of my favourite looks from the collection. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Jennifer Lawrence in Mugler & Jessica Alba in Andrew Gn!

While attending the 2014 Baby2Baby Gala, Jessica Alba looked breathtakingly beautiful in a strapless AndrewGn gown featuring a gold leaf bodice and gorgeous white tulle skirt. She accessorized with a Tiffany & Co. ring and vintage earrings. I’m just loving all of the metallic accents, especially her bronze Brian Atwood clutch. LOVE!

It seems to be all about white these days since Jennifer Lawrence also looked gorge in this deep-V white halter gown by Mugler’s artistic director, David Koma. Can we say sex-y!? I mean that plunging neckline and thigh-high slit are everything! She heeled it off with ankle-strap sandals in silver and kept it minimal with her jewelry. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her red carpet looks while promoting her upcoming movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. (Will you be watching!?)

Holiday Trending: Tulle!

When you think of tulle you most likely think about veils, gowns (wedding gowns) and ballet tutus. Why not think about the holiday season too? The lightweight, very fine netting is perfect for the holiday party look. The tulle skirt looks very festive, fun and you can style it in so many different ways.

It can as simple as pairing it with a sweater or a blouse. You can accessorize the look with some fancy jewelry (necklace, earrings or both). Of course, picking the right heels will definitely add the oomph to the overall look so make sure you choose wisely. (StarInMoi Hint: Try as many heels as you need to until you feel the oomph!).
