Earlier this week, I shared Part 1 of Africa Fashion Week Montreal (AFWMTL), an innovative annual event which aims to celebrate African and Caribbean culture by showcasing creative designs of renowned and emerging artists. Without further ado, here is part 2 of last weekend’s event.
Asikere Afana specializes in sensual blends of African-inspired, timeless trends & curated textiles. Made in Ghana with 100% cotton and fair trade.
Cocody Collections specializes in African print fabrics and vibrant colours with a modern minimalist chic and simple yet notorious (in its originality) style.
Elle Sublime represents strong yet delicate, audacious and even eccentric women of all generations who value their femininity, specializing in trendy handmade custom jewelry.
Korto Momolu celebrates the essence of Africa through the use of traditional, luxury fabrics; skins; mixed prints on fashion forward women’s wear and accessories. Her signature designs also appeared on the 5th season of Bravo TV’s hit show, Project Runway; where she was placed 1st runner up. She is definitely a top designer to watch!
Again a HUGE thank you to Kama St-Juste and her leading team Médina Diabagate, Béatrice Clervoix and Liette Clervoix for bringing AFWMTL to Montreal.
I truly hope this entices you to be a part of AFWMTL next year. I know I will be (God willing!).

A BIG thank you to Kama St-Juste and her leading team, Médina Diabagate (a special thank you), Béatrice Clervoix and Liette Clervoix for having me. Wishing you many more years of success with AFWMTL. I loved every second!
Happy Wednesday! ❤️xo
Insurgent stars, Shailene Woodley and Suki Waterhouse, have been making their promo rounds to premiere the second instalment of the Divergent series and have done so with style and glamour.
Suki Waterhouse graced the red carpet at the New York premiere in a blush deep plunging Reem Acra creation featuring cut-outs, gorgeous embroidery and exquisite beadwork. I’m loving blush these days!
Shailene Woodley radiated elegance in an open back Ralph Lauren Collection gown at the London premiere. I’m loving the sleeve and back details of this ivory silk cady gown which features over 100 silk cream organza strips on silk tulle. Nice finishing touch with Casadei shoes.
What are your thoughts?

Jennifer Lopez wore a Balmain sheer panelled sheath dress in white for an appearance at the Jimmy Kimmel Live show this week and I must say that she looked absolutely stunning!!! With those legs, how could she not.
This dress is currently available at BARNEYS NEW YORK in black and white.
The catch: it retails at $1815! 👀

Not quite ready to break the bank? No worries (me neither). I found some great alternatives here and here.
What do think of J.Lo’s Balmain look?
