No one said life would be easy. If it were, there would be no room to grow, to learn and to better ourselves. Who wants a boring life anyway?! Life is meant for us to live and learn, to gain experience, to challenge ourselves, to go through the good and the bad, to explore and to push ourselves to be the best we can be. We go through it because we are able. When there is a will, there’s a way. So every time you go through a rough patch in life, remind yourself that “Life is tough but so are you.”

Life can lead you in many different directions. It can bring you forward, backward or to a standstill. It depends on which direction you decide to take. If your decisions are based on self-improvement, self-betterment or self-investment then you are choosing to move forward. That is loving, accepting and wanting yourself to excel in life. If your decisions are based on insecurities, denial or self-doubt then you are choosing to move backwards. Don’t ignore the blessings that were meant for you.
Let’s focus on moving forward in life. Give yourself a chance. Keep trying over and over again. Turn every “no” into a “yes”. Never give up or back down. We owe that to ourselves. So what will you choose? To make progress or make excuses?
Everything in life happens for a reason. You may not know why right away but there will come a time where it will all make sense (and you will experience what I call the “ah-hah” moment). So whatever the challenge, just remember that there is always purpose behind it. You are not going through it for nothing. You are not wasting your time.
Everything you go through is meant to teach you, strengthen you and “grow you” into the person you are meant to be. So, why not think about the life lessons behind every challenge you face and accept your growth (regardless of the outcome). It will be one of the best things you can do for yourself.

As I’m getting ready to celebrate another birth year, I can only be thankful for my life lessons thus far. My past experiences have taught me to be the woman I am today. I’m also thankful for my future and for all God has in store for me. I trust in His plan. I’m even more thankful to God for giving me chances to see another day and for my continued growth. I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my gifts, talents and dreams now and in the future.
God is a God of new beginnings. He wants to give you a second, third and fourth chance. Your best days are to come so there’s no need to look back. Press forward into the victory that God has prepared for you.

This is SOOO true because although I try to plan every move in my life, things don’t always work out accordingly…It’s ok because I also know that God always has the best plan for me.
