March is here (a tad late but hey)!!!…which means Spring is near!!! (Don’t forget to Spring Forward this weekend…YAY to longer brighter days but NAY to losing an hour sleep…lol).
Lots to look forward to this month. For you Divergent fans, the second part of the trilogy, Insurgent, will hit theatres March 20th. Who else is excited to see Tris (Shailene Woodly) and Four (Theo James) on the big screen again?
Lots going on in vogue world with Fashion Week scheduled in a city near you. In Toronto, World MasterCard Fashion Week will showcase some Fall 2015 Canadian Collections the week of March 23-27 at David Pecaut Square featuring designers such as Kania (Stacey Bafi Yeboa is one of my faves and she is an amazing woman too), Tatsuaki, Mackage and Rudsak.
Also in fashion, there are many fabulous Spring covers out this month that are certainly worth checking out. One of my favourite actresses, Tracee Ellis Ross covers Essence. Another favourite, Kerry Washington covers In Style and Taraji P. Henson graces the cover of Uptown. Gwen Stefani covers Canada’s No.1 Fashion & Beauty magazine – Fashion and Lupita Nyong’o covers Lucky mag.
I’m looking forward to a month filled with good reads, great fashion and amazing collections.
What are your plans this month?
Happy Friday! ❤️️️️️️️️xo
The 87th Academy Awards were held last night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the ceremony honoured the best films of 2014. Were you watching? The coveted Oscar statue wasn’t the only attention grabber of the night. The red carpet was filled with glamour and elegance and it’s only right that I share with you some of my favourite looks.
One of my favourite couples in Hollywood, Chrissy Teigen & John Legend slayed the red carpet once again. Chrissy looked sexy yet elegant in Zuhair Murad featuring a plunging neckline and thigh high slit and Mr. legend definitely rocked his Gucci to perfection.
Anna Kendrick wore a Thakoon custom coral silk & chiffon gown. I’m loving the jewel details in the halter neck.
Dakota Johnson wore a red Saint Laurent gown. I love the simplicity of her look.
Kerry Washington rocked one of her favourites, Miu Miu.
Lupita Nyong’o looked ravishing in a custom Calvin Klein dress featuring 6000 pearls.
Jennifer Lopez looked very princess-like in her Elie Saab gown.
Emma Stone looked gorgeous in her golden Elie Saab gown.
Actors Channing Tatum & wife Jenna Dewan Tatum were one of my favourite couples of the night. I’m loving Jenna’s Zuhair Murad gown.
Jamie Chung looked beautiful in Yanina Couture.
Jennifer Aniston looked stunning in Versace. Love!
Jennifer Hudson shined in a yellow Romona Keveza dress.

Who rocked your favourite look?
The 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards were held last Friday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California. The show, hosted by comedian Anthony Anderson, celebrated the achievements of people of colour in film, television, literature and music. The star-studded event also showcased some gorgeous ensembles on the red carpet and of course, I wanted to share some of the looks with you. Here are some of my faves.
Gabrielle Union rocked a blush-hued Gauri & Nainika gown featuring side cutouts.
Kerry Washington looked flawless in the colour of the month wearing a red Zuhair Murad gown. She accessorized her look with a Ferragamo clutch and Cathy Waterman jewelry.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw was a breath of fresh air in a yellow embroidered Burberry gown. The studded leather belt definitely complemented her look.
Tracee Ellis Ross stunned in a fitted, beaded gown with a deep plunge.
Angela Bassett looked gorge in an embellished black & gold gown featuring a plunging neck.
Teyonah Parris looked beautiful in a Haus of Falenci’ago gown with a flowing lace train and plunging neckline.
Eva Marcille rocked a full two-tone tulle skirt like only she knows how and paired it with a tube top. This woman can wear anything and make it look good.

What are your thoughts?
Kerry Washington kept it sexy in patterns at the inaugural Daily Front Row Fashion Awards held at Sunset Tower last Thursday in West Hollywood, California. She mixed prints like a pro in a Boss by Jason Wu chevron-print skirt and a graphic black & white long-sleeve top. Love how she boldly paired the two. She accessorized with Dana Rebecca Designs earrings, rings by EF Collection and Melissa Kaye and a black Christian Louboutin clutch. She heeled it off perfectly with some red bottoms. Love her look from head to toe.
What are your thoughts? Who else is excited for the Scandal premiere tomorrow night?

Kerry Washington attended the 2014 Elle’s Women in Hollywood Celebration last Monday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. She kept it classy in this svelte one-shoulder design from Calvin Klein Collection. I love a touch of colour to any black dress like this soft blue reveal at the foldover neckline. The side zipper and front pocket gives this piece the perfect amount of detail. Kerry accessorized with a black & white Thalé Blanc clutch (founder Deborah Sawaf has such an exquisite accessory line) and of course, black Louboutin heels. Although I would have ‘nay’ed the matching blue eyes and opted for a more simple black liner look, I’m loving the contrasting oxblood nail colour. Perfect for fall!

Earlier this week, Kerry Washington made a guest appearance on Good Morning America to promote Season 4 of Scandal premiering tomorrow on ABC (who will be watching!?…Moi!). She looked stunning in this cobalt blue peplum Prabal Gurung design. I’m loving the racer-front detail and bold colour. She paired her look with black red bottoms and looked absolutely flawless. What are your thoughts on this look?

Earlier this week, Kerry Washington rocked the perfect little white dress (LWD) for Jennifer Klein’s 16th Annual Day of Indulgence Party. This Parker ‘Whitefield’ Fit & Flare Dress screams summer with the webbed insets, spaghetti straps and sporty racer back. She topped her look with a Prada purse and ankle-strap red bottoms.
I’m loving the sexy lace panels. She looks amaze—ing!
How do you like her look?
The 2014 BET Awards kicked off last night at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. and the ladies rocked the red carpet with some hot looks…
Scandal star Kerry Washington looked great in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana floral dress paired with white pointy pumps and green clutch.
Tamera Mowry-Housley wore a navy blue front zipper Yigal Azrouël dress.
Tamera rocked the navy but the colour of the night was definitely stark white.
New mom Eva Marcille wore a white hot Sin Couture gown.
Amber Rose also opted for white in this gorge gown with silver belt.
Regina Hall proved she can rock a pantsuit like no other in this chic white tuxedo.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw rocked an elegant, high-neck white dress by Jason Wu.
I’m sure most of you watched and enjoyed Ellen DeGeneres host the 86th Academy Awards last night (love her!) and for the few of you who missed the annual ceremony, here is a recap of my fave looks and proud moment of the evening.
Charlize Theron in Dior
Kerry Washington in Jason Wu
Rocsi Diaz in StyleCarmen
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
I had to save the best for last…my fave look of the night, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o in Prada. Congratulations Lupita for winning Best Supporting Actress!!! This is well deserved. She was A-M-A-ZING in 12 Years A Slave. #proudmoment
Lupita said it best: No matter where you’re from your dreams are valid.
