The 57th Annual Grammy Awards were held last night at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry. The event was hosted by LL Cool J for the 4th consecutive time and featured performances by Beyoncé, Common, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Sam Smith and Usher, to name a few. The red carpet sizzled with celebrities showcasing their fierceness in gorgeous attires from metallics to deep plunges to cut outs and see-throughs. I just had to share some of my favourite looks.
Gwen Stefani looked amazing in Atelier Versace.
Jhené Aiko looked beautiful in Alberta Ferretti. I’m loving this feminine soft rose strapless gown.
Rocsi Diaz got the deep plunge memo. She wore Jovani.
Chrissy Teigen stunned in Emilio Pucci and John Legend looked quite dapper himself.
Beyoncé looked flawless in Proenza Schouler.
Mary J Blige looked gorgeous in her gown.
Jennifer Hudson kept it simple in a white strapless dress.
Ciara looked gorge in Alexandre Vauthier. Love!
Anna Kendrick rocked a black tuxedo suit.

Who rocked your fave look?
Chrissy Teigen looked ravishingly beautiful while attending the 2015 NFL Honours event at the Pheonix Convention Center with her hubby John Legend, who looked quite dapper himself (but back to her)….She was a vision from head to toe in Temperley London. She showed off her toned legs and taut tummy by pairing a sheer sand tulle crop top and a patterned high-waisted ivory skirt featuring a thigh-high-slit. She accessorized her look with a silver Rodo clutch and nude Stuart Weitzman sandals.

What are your thoughts?
You fix your makeup just so
Guess you don’t know that you’re beautiful
Try on every dress that you own
You were fine in my eyes a half hour ago
If your mirror won’t
Make it any clearer I’ll
Be the one to let you know
Out of all of the girls
You’re my one and only girl
Ain’t nobody in the world tonight
All of the stars
You make them shine like they were ours
Ain’t nobody in he world
But you…and I
Such profound words from John Legend’s latest single You & I (Nobody In The World) from his album ‘Love In The Future’.
When I first heard this song, I immediately fell in love with the powerful lyrics but it was the music video that really did it for me (icing on the cake for sure!). I couldn’t help but get teary while watching everyday women of all colours, shapes and sizes looking themselves in the mirror and reflecting on their body image and how they view themselves daily. It was such a powerful yet touching look of today’s reality and better yet, a positive message for all daughters, sisters, mothers and wives out there. It was more than what I envisioned.
Play this song for yourself today. Make the lyrics about you. You don’t need makeup to validate your beauty…You don’t need a mirror to determine your allure…Know that you are beautiful!
Press play (if you haven’t already)!
I thought I’d share some of my fave things with you…
