With New Year’s Eve being just a few days away, I’m sure many of you are still trying to figure out what to wear for the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015. Whether you’re planning to wear a
little not-so-little black dress or a structured sweater with denim or even a blouse with a skirt, what better way to accessories your outfit than with a statement necklace.
They are the perfect accessory to make ANY ensemble stand out. This statement jewelry is meant to be the focus of the overall look and the ultimate conversation starter. You can certainly keep the rest of the outfit simple with such an eye-grabber piece. Chic yet effortless! All you need is this one piece (or a couple pieces if you decide to stack a few necklaces to get the look). Here are some of my face looks featuring statement necklaces.

I’m loving AnneEmmaJewelry! She has some great hand-made jewelry on Etsy.
Will you be rocking statement necklaces this NYE?

One of the hardest lessons for me to learn is to take it one hour at a time, one day at a time and one step at a time. I know how hard it is to accept the fact that things may not always happen your way (my way or the highway right!?) and that’s ok. You can’t control everything in life…but God can and sometimes it’s best to leave it in His hands to handle. There is nothing too big for God and there is no one better to handle it. Whether it’s rebuilding a relationship, dealing with finances, handling grief, trying to break an addiction, or handling big changes in life, have faith and learn to take it one hour, one day, one step at a time.
What better way to accessorize than with a scarf, especially in this cold weather. The blanket scarf is a must this winter. They can add texture, color, and they keep you warm.
I personally love the tartan plaid blanket scarf from Zara in beige (pic below) and also in black (pic below). Although it is no longer available, you can find a similar one from Madewell at SHOPBOB here or a striped version from Topshop here or a bold plum and grey tartan blanket scarf from TheProvidenceStory on Etsy here.
And of course men can rock it too. I’m especially loving the Louis Vuitton FW12 blanket scarf in camel and black. I need that in my life!
