Tony A. Gaskins – Real Love Tour Montreal!

After Toronto, Los Angeles, Miami, Jacksonville and Tampa, the “Expert” Tony A. Gaskins, certified in marital relations life coach and speaker, will be in Montreal on Saturday, July 18th as part of his anticipated The Real Love Tour. The Bonaventure Hotel (900 Rue de la Gauchetière O, H5A 1E4) will host this interactive conference which is designed to open a dialogue on seeking and maintaining healthy relationships. You don’t want to miss out on this event!

Tony A. Gaskins is one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the United States. Followed by millions on social media, he devotes himself to his seminars and lectures on different subjects such as love, business, success and self-development. He was featured on many television programs including “Tyra Banks Show” and famous “Oprah Winfrey Show”, where he shared his troubled past in the world of drugs and violence. He is also the author of several books, a professional life coach (to many NFL and NBA athletes), a relationship consultant and producer. Most importantly, he is a husband and father.

On July 18, men and women, couples and singles are invited to benefit from Gaskins’ expert advice on how to remain happily married or on how to invest the work necessary to meet the ideal partner.

“We live in a society where the divorce rate and the number of singles is rising steadily. By inviting a renowned expert from the United States, we, in Montreal will be exposed to a perspective from a different culture which will enrich our knowledge.” said Golda Simon, President and Founder of Gold Diva Events

Considering that nearly 41% of Canadian marriages end in divorce and that many people remain single despite themselves, this seminar is pertinent to our current society and definitely worth attending. Translation services will be made available.

TICKETS range from $ 30 – $ 60 | $ 100 VIP Cocktail

If you can’t make it in person, there will also be a Live Webcast for only $17

This Saturday, June 27th 2015, the Loft Hotel will be hosting the 1st ever Natural Hair Congress Canada (NHCC) in Montreal (314 Sherbrooke East to be exact) exclusively dedicated to the beauty & care of curly, kinky, wavy or locked hair. Also, you will not want to miss the hairstyling competition & hair show; where 5 Canadian specialized stylists in naturally curly hair compete for 1st place in a live stage competition and where Natural Hair experts across Canada show off their talents & skills, signature styles and wedding inspirations. All of this followed by mixing and mingling with sounds presented by an all-women collective Amazon DJ Crew. So, I can go on and on about this event, but truth is, you need to be there. Everyone is welcome!

Talk Tuesday: Be A Rainbow In Someone Else’s Cloud!

Lord knows I’ve had many clouds in my life, just like many of you I’m sure…That’s just the way it goes. Amid the clouds, God made it so to put the right people in my path at the right time to be a blessing to me. For that, I’m thankful so I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been a rainbow in my cloud. Just as they have been rainbows for me, I wish to be that for someone else and you can do the same. It doesn’t take much to do so. Be a blessing to someone else today by lending a helping hand, an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on; by offering a smile to someone’s frown; by simply being there and being present or by sharing a kind and timely message. Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.

Happy Tuesday! ❤️️️️️️️️xo

Talk Tuesday: Energy is Contagious!

IMG_3978.JPG
I’m sure everyone has dealt with a situation where you were super excited about something only to get shut down by Mr./Ms. Negative. I know I have! That’s why I love this quote by Alex Elle, that’s what I call “real talk”.

It’s a great reminder that we have to be mindful of the people we allow in our space, especially if these people are pessimistic about eve-ry-thing (yes they exist!). Their negative energy can bring you down and leave you feeling drained and exhausted but that’s only if you allow it. We always have a choice…to either listen to the negative thoughts and let it consume you or simply to tune it out and turn it into a positive one.

Although I’ve been guilty of jumping on the negative band wagon a few times, I will definitely be more mindful that the positive route is just a thought away. Focus your energy on the positive. It’s contagious!

Happy Tuesday!

Talk Tuesday: Remembering Dr. Myles Munroe!

IMG_3883.JPG
Internationally renowned preacher, bestselling author, life coach and leadership mentor, Dr. Myles Munroe was killed last Sunday in a devastating plane crash. His wife, Ruth, was also one of the 9 fatalities in the Bahamas jet crash. Dr. Munroe was such an inspiration to many and he will continue to inspire through his many teachings and motivational sayings. His legacy will always be remembered and never forgotten.

My prayers and thoughts are with the families and friends of all aboard that tragic plane crash.

Happy Remembrance Day!

Think Thursday: Your Mission In Life!

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style. -Maya Angelou

Legendary author Maya Angelou said it best…We all hope to thrive in life while fulfilling our purpose but we have to remember to have fun, laugh and enjoy the ride along the way.

The renowned poet, novelist and actress whose work defied description under a simple label has passed away yesterday. Her legacy and work shall continue on forever. Her mission was accomplished, just as she had said.

R.I.P. Maya Angelou.
