Last night, Fashion Rocks took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY to celebrate two of culture’s biggest influences: music and fashion. Many fashion trends are inspired by music so it’s only right to showcase the powerful relationship between the two. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, this event featured performances by Jennifer Hudson, JLo, Magic!, Nico & Vinz, Usher among others while showcasing Macy’s fall trends (available here).
Check out some of the red carpet looks:
Jennifer Lopez sizzled the red carpet in this hot plunging, leg bearing black number with gold metallic adornment and matching accessories.
Miranda Lambert rocked this black fitted pantsuit featuring leather panels down the legs and on the blazer lapels. She paired her outfit perfectly with a silver diamanté bra underneath (that bra is everything!).
Kat Graham also showed some skin in this black leather bra that she wore underneath a dark blue shimmery blazer and navy dropped-crotch pants with black waistband.
Supermodel Joan Smalls looked fab in this colourful patterned long-sleeved mini-dress with gold accents and strappy sandals.
Victoria Secret’s Lily Aldridge rocked a simple look in this black wrap-style skirt-pant paired with a tan & black patterned strapless top.

It takes hours of dedication, a deep kind of love and lots of patience to create a great piece of art. That is why most artists are meticulous when it comes to their artwork, paying attention to every detail and wanting everything to be perfect before calling it a finished product.
Well…Don’t you know that YOU are God’s artwork!?
God, being the perfect artist that He is, will continue His work in you. He will fix the brokenness, the sickness, the loneliness and all other matters of the heart and make you whole in every area of your life. Be patient! He will never give up on you because you are His perfect work of art. You are God’s masterpiece!
Happy Sunday! Be blessed!

In honour of the late artivist (artist and activist), here is a quote from our beloved Ruby Dee who will always be remembered for her humanitarian work and her seven-decade career as an American actress.
The kind of beauty I want most is the hard-to-get kind that comes from within — strength, courage, dignity.

Ruby Dee was also a poet, playwright, screenwriter and journalist who used her gifts well to champion Human Rights.
Her strength, courage and beauty will be missed.

Are you watching season 5 of The Voice? If so, then you experienced the beautiful voice of Jamaican-born Tessanne Chin.
Tessanne Chin is a Reggae fusion artist representing Team Adam this season and she is in the top 3 finale airing tonight at 9/8c on NBC.
Her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” was the perfect tribute to the late great legend.
Her fashion on the show has been on point too. Here are a few looks that I love:
You already know who I’m rooting for!
