When you’re going through a tough time, you naturally express (internal or external) emotions that reflect what you’re going through…your feelings! You may want to shed a tear, seclude yourself from everyone or you may simply want to ignore your feelings by dusting them under the rug, putting your game face on and keeping it moving. It's ok to be frustrated, sad and/or overly-emotional. It's even ok to put on the blinders (or rose-coloured glasses) in order to temporarily avoid what you’re going through for a second BUT as long as it’s only for a second. Don’t let your emotions blur your thoughts. Don’t be stuck in your “down” phase for long. Don’t let the negative feelings overpower you. Don’t let it consume you! Keep it real with yourself!
